The country's 1st ever and longest running Hiligaynon newscast in the country is now on its 23rd year. Since 1988, Negros Island TV Patrol (Bacolod TV Patrol/TV Patrol Western Visayas before) has been serving the rest of Western Visayas with timely news and fine public service.
For the past 23 years Bacolod City's 1st and longest running local newscast has been covering countless battles between militia and rebels, the rise of Bacolod City and Negros Island among the Philippines' best places, the annual Masskara Fiesta and scores of other fiestas across and beyond Negros Island. Covering for the newscast were Harold Limbo, Nick Lizares, Angela Hilado, Sheldon Sison, Alan John Higanan, Jeelyn Aloba, Agnes Lira-Jundos, the late Dot Amisola and Christopher Misajon, current ABS-CBN News Channel anchor Stanley Palisada, current ABS-CBN Iloilo head Charie Ginete-Ilon, current Tacloban TV Patrol anchor Clifford Nollido and current national TV Patrol reporter Alvin Elchico.
Now its anchors are Barbara Mijares and Ryan Gamboa, backed up by Yasmin Pascual Dormido, Mitch Lipa, Angelo Angolo, Romeo Subaldo, Rushty Ramos, Castor Sasi, Mark Salanga, Dustin Mijares, Meneil Lopez, Ragie Mae Tano Arellano, Leilani Salem-Alba and more. Negros Island TV Patrol airs 5:15pm Mon-Fri on ABS-CBN TV-3 Negros Island.
