Mindanao's 1st TV Patrol is from Davao City. Now 23 years after, Davao TV Patrol (now TV Patrol Southern Mindanao, Davao's 1st ever all-Cebuano local newscastand Mindanao's longest running local newscast) has been delivering quality public service and timely news updates for every Mindanaoan.
For 23 years, Davao TV Patrol has covered the fragile peace-and-order situations between Filipino Christians and Filipino Muslims and even the annual Kadayawan Fiesta. Covering for Davao TV Patrol were Dante Luzon (the newscast's 1st anchor), Annie Salon-Gacayan (now ABS-CBN Gensan chief), Alexis Joseph Bendijo (former national TV Patrol anchor and now Manila-based newscaster), Girlie Balaba, Joseph Reyes, Robert Borje, Melissa Suarez, Stephen Manangan, Melanie Severino, Mabel Sunga Acosta (now Davao City councilor), current CDOC TV Patrollers Art Bonjoc Jr. and PJ dela Pena, and current Weekend TV Patrol anchor Alex Santos.
Present anchor is Paul Palacio, backed up by Michelle Robin, Ad Roel Alcober, Francis Magbanua, Claudette Centeno, Jun Bersamin, Joel Ramirez, Elric Ayop, Vina Araneta and more. Davao TV Patrol airs 5:15pm Mon-Fri on ABS-CBN TV-3 Davao Regions.
